Personal Information: Home town Portland, snuck over the border from California (born and raised) to Portland in 1977. Hobbies: home repair & lawn mowing, buying climbing stuff, skiing, Old Time music (banjo, guitar, autoharp, bass), Wilbur Hot Springs, parties. Racewalking team has taken first in class (SuperMasters) in Hood to Coast (PDX to Coast) last three years in a row. Spouse: Janice Newton - climber, son Steve who climbs.
