A great walking stickIf you’d like a lightweight, adjustable and inexpensive walking stick, just go to a paint store and get an aluminum expandable paint pole. It has a lanyard hole, is lightweight and strong, and can be expanded out to almost ten feet for use as a bear bag retriever, ridge pole for a tarp, or snake stick. It’s also just the right size to add a bicycle grip for comfort. You can screw on a frog gig for snagging trout. They have fiberglass poles now that are even lighter. Total cost: around $15. |
