Steri Strips for the first aid kit

Steri Strips, a cross between a band-aid and a suture, are narrow strips of super strong first aid tape that really stick to skin and are used to close cuts in place of a suture. 3M makes them, so you know the adhesive is good stuff. They are inexpensive, weigh nothing, and could save the day if you need to care for a substantial cut in the backcountry. Consider adding them to your first aid kit. They are available at better stocked pharmacies and medical supply stores (try Beaverton Pharmacy in the Portland area) and through various online retailers such as Amazon.
