Use the zoom on your digital camera to help with routefinding
Most all digital cameras have a handy feature that may help you out of a routefinding bind –the ability to zoom and pan on images you’ve already taken. If you can get a good shot of the route on the approach, or of a tricky glacier crossing from the summit, you may be able to zoom in close and pan around on this image later on your climb and use it to assist with your routefinding.
