Field Sessions
Placement will occur based on field session dates that work for you based on your availability as indicated on your application.
Field session dates & times will vary with each BCEP team.

  • Half day or evening rock practice at the MMC rock wall
  • All day Rock field session at Horsethief Butte (Washington)
  • All day Snow field session near Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood

Condition Hikes

  • In addition to these field sessions, your Team Leader(s) will schedule weekend conditioning hikes. To get the most out of this program, please try to clear your weekends of other commitments.  A minimum of four conditioning hikes is required for completion of the class.
  • Some Leaders may schedule an optional hike or pre-class gathering before the first class for those who are interested.  If these activities are scheduled, the Team Leader will contact you directly by phone or email.

Check with your BCEP leader for specific hikes, belay and field session dates.
