Reaching New Heights Capital Campaign

Mazamas Capital Campaign
The next hundred years of Mazamas contribution to our community must start with a solid financial foundation for our new home.

The capital campaign will raise $1.75 million to pay for the purchase and remodeling of the Mazama Mountaineering Center (MMC).  Currently the Mazama Foundation has secured a revolving bank loan to cover these costs, thus giving the campaign a five year period to reach it’s goal.  You can visit the Mazama Mountaineering Center Pages to learn more about our new facility.

You can Donate Now On-Line or you can Download a capital campaign brochure with the donation form (2.7MB) and mail in your gift.

A number of long-term members have created the leadership, both financial and organizational, to start the campaign. Initiated by Chris Mackert and Keith Mischke, the capital campaign is currently co-chaired by Keith Dubanevich and Eugene Lewins.

Several campaign task forces are actively raising funds in the following categories:
  • Leadership Gifts - cochairs Wendy Carlton and Tom Bard
  • Estate Gifts - cochairs Lori Freeman and Chris Kabel
  • External Gifts - cochairs Jon Jurevic and Nancy Miller
  • Membership Gifts - cochairs Pat Cook and Brad Chaddick
We have retained the services of a consultant, Smith and Company, who have a successful track record of supporting similar sized non-profit campaigns.
