Mazama Library

The Mazamas library is nationally recognized as holding one of the top mountaineering collections in the country.  Members are welcome to check out books and videos from our extensive collection.  There are lots of guide books to help you plan that next climb or hike, whether it be in Mt. Hood or the Himalayas.  You can download an MS Word .doc file of the Mazamas video collection(244 kb) 

Non-members are welcome to use the library for reading and may make photocopies, but may not check out materials.  The library historical collections committee also coordinates our archive collection and museum displays.

The library is open during the normal hours of the Mazamas Mountaineering Center: Mon - Thurs, 11:00am to 7:00 pm, and Fri, 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Our library is always looking to expand our collection.  If you have any books or journals you might like to donate to the library, please contact our librarian.  (And no - we do not need any more National Geographic magazines - but thanks anyway!)
