Maps to Carpool Meeting Spots (and more)

Mazama Mountaineering Center and the Mazama Lodge

(Note:  The Google maps links below will open in a new browser window)

Mazama Mountaineering Center
527 SE 43rd Ave. (at Stark) Portland, OR 97215
The new Mazama Headquarters.  The MMC is the meeting place for most in-town meetings and activities as well as for eastside (usually Wednesday) street rambles.  While 35 spaces of free parking are available in our lot, we encourage visitors and members to come by bike, on foot, carpool or use public transportation (see http://www.trimet.org).

Mazama Lodge - Summer
30500 E West Leg Rd, Government Camp, OR
In summer visitors can drive up the West Leg Rd and park right at the Lodge.  In winter this road is not ploughed and visitors should instead park at the Mazama Sno*Park (see below).

Mazama Lodge - Winter:  Mazama Sno*Park
In winter, Lodge visitors should park in the lot just south of Hwy 26 just before the turnoff to Timberline Lodge at the height of the pass.  Short term loading/unloading may be done at the base of the footpath up to the Mazama Lodge, but all vehicles should be parked down at the Sno*Park.  Do not park at the far east or west ends of the lot where you might block snowplows or ODOT vehicles.  Do not leave any valuables or goodies (including skiis) in your car overnight.  Note that a Sno*park permit is required to park here in winter (available at almost all Portland outdoor stores).
