Outdoor Access

Access to climbing and hiking areas is something that affects all of us who recreate outdoors. In recent years, new restrictions and fees have been imposed on recreational users of our public lands. Use these pages to find out more about these rules and fees, what the current regulations are, and what you can do to make your voice heard.

The Mazamas have an Access committee that deals with these issues.  Go to the Committee Overview page

Pacific NW Permits and Regulations

Snow Park permits are required at many NW winter play areas from November 15 and April 30.  Purchase a seasonal pass at local outdoors shops for the best deal.
