Privacy Policy

The Mazamas have the following privacy policies regarding use of member information:

1. Names, addresses, home phones and emails are published in a printed Membership Directory each year in January.  This information is also available on the password protected member section of this website.  This information is intended solely for personal communication between members.  It is not intended, and cannot be used for, any bulk mail, bulk email, and/or otherwise commercial use without the approval of the Mazamas Executive Council.

2. Member home phone numbers are not used on the public portion of the web site unless authorized by that person.

3. Mazamas Executive Council may occasionally approve the sharing of our mailing list with other organizations with a similar mission or interests.  These typically are other non-profit climbing or conservation organizations.  These addresses are not sold, are approved for a one time use by our partner organization.  This typically happens only once or twice a year.  In the past these groups have included Portland Mountain Rescue, Friends of Forest Park, and the American Alpine Club.  If you do not want your name shared with these outside groups, contact us at the Mazama Mountaineering Center.

4. If you do not want your personal information to be included in the printed or on-line directory, contact us at the Mazama Mountaineering Center and we will remove it at the earliest possible time.
