Climb Card Example

It might appear that the climb card system we have is a little klunky in this age of web based sign up for everything.  However, if you consider that it takes about one hour once a year for you to order, fill out and mail your climb cards, it’s really not that big of a deal.

You need to fill out and mail to the leader (NOT to the Mazamas) one climb card for each climb you apply for.  You can buy climb cards at the Mazama Mountaineering Center in person (check, MC/Visa or cash) over the phone (MC/Visa) or via snail mail (check or MC/Visa).

Cards are $15 for Mazamas members and $25 for non-members.

Please fill out the climb card as follows:

1. Fill in the requested contact info, fitness, climbing experience, emergency contact, and sign and date the waiver.
2. If you have climbed more than 4-5 peaks, it may be more convenient for you to copy your climb resume on a separate piece of paper and attach it (tape or staple) to the card.
3. Be sure and put a first class (not postcard) stamp and your name and address on the climb card.
4. Fold the card, put it in an envelope and mail it to the leader (not to the Mazamas!)  If you need an address for a leader, feel free to contact the Mazamas office (503-227-2345) or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and we’ll be glad to give it to you.
