Winter Climb Schedule

Welcome to the Winter Climb Schedule. The Winter Season is from December 1 - April 30.

The winter schedule is a bit different from the summer schedule due to the fickle nature of the weather. Below you will first view a list of climbs leader Intend to lead during the winter months, followed by the actual schedule (that will only be filled in once a climb is finalized, typically 1 day to 1 week before the scheduled date). View information on applying for winter climbs here.

Note that grading of climbs is increased for winter. (Example: Mt. Hood South Side is classified as a B during the spring/summer schedule and as a C during the winter schedule)

Codes: (E) = Exploratory, (P)=Provisional Climb. A plus (+) indicates an overnight is involved. Means of travel: F=foot, SS=snowshoe, MS=Mountain Ski (randonee/telemark/possibly snowboards (ask the leader)).

Note: AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVERS MUST BE CARRIED BY ALL CLIMBERS ON ALL WINTER CLIMBS. Climbers are to furnish their own batteries for the transceivers. Bring 4 Size AAA batteries per climber.

Below you will see the climbs leaders intend to lead, by month. As the actual climbs are scheduled they will appear on the Winter Climb Schedule

Wondering how to use this tool? It's simple!

In the 'Show me' box, type the data you're looking for, such as 'Underwood Hood'
for all climbs by Paul Underwood on Mt. Hood.
If you'd like to sort by column, just click on the header of each column
to sort in ascending or descending order.
The 'Show Me' and 'Climb Grade' search fields don't work well together. Yet.
This schedule is still under development, so you may see changes and/or
broken links. Please bear with us while we continue to improve it!
